Our 2nd Annual Ohio COHT Meeting was held Feb 25 - 27, 2005 at Ceasar's Creek Pioneer Village. It was good to be in the village again and see some ole friends and support a great site and get some business conducted for the Ohio Branch of the COHT. We honored the past Great Lakes Governor for his duties, although he was not present. We recognized Blackie for his service and dedication to the Ohio COHT by really getting involved by attending events, planning opportunities for other members, submitting info to the newsletter and the website. Blackie was also nominated and elected by the members in attendance for the meeting as the new state representative for the Ohio State. We also recognized Weaser for his tireless efforts in his cooking for us at camps and events and being involved with the COHT on the website and newsletter. Job well done the two of you, congrats! We also recognized Chris Brovold for his winning our mail in shooting contest and supporting the Ohio COHT, good shooting and thanks for getting involved Chris. We had the customary prize exchange and we all went home with some really great stuff, thanks everyone. Every member who attended was gifted a tin of a tiny striker and flint, so as to never be without one. The previous state rep CAPT McGee was gifted a subscription to the OTT Magazine on behalf of the Ohio Members... one of my favorite magazines - I thank you all.
Thanks to Weaser, we did not starve nor have to lift a single hand. He did a out standing job of keeping us all fed... I thank you Weaser. Sorry we made you sleep out in the cold. Thomas Bookman was kind enough to bring us some much needed dry wood... we put it to good use, thank you. Bushwacker helped me stay on top of the dishes and cleaned up my burnt pot really well, thank you. Blackie brought us plans for a busy year of opportunities for us members to take advantage of. Shelley welcomed us on behalf of the CCPV as did Linda - thank you ladies. Shelley also helped make the arrangements for the meeting and cabin. We did some planning of a few eventsm planted the seed for others as well. We discussed a few issues facing the the COHT both nationally and locally. All in all, we had a grand time... except that you where not there, hopefully next trail event you can make it.
Thanks to everyone that was in attendance and had a part in pulling this 2nd Annual Ohio COHT Meeting off, thank you.
