Tom Run Rendezvous is a great event, the family and I have not missed it for some years now. Its called a rendezvous, but it really isn't... but sure is a lot of fun. All the procedes collected from this event go right into the children's programs at the park. We have a 23 target Hawk and Knife woods walk, Stationary hawk and knife, fire starting competitions, kids games and ladies games. We hold a auction and raffles all weekend long. We have a corn bread and Bean Soup made over a fire served with Sassafras Tea for $1.00. The Lenape Nation's Drummers have been coming yearly now to drum and sing for us. Dale Fryer "White Panther and "Running Water" teach and explain the songs to the children and anyone else that wants to learn. This event is held in Thomlinson Run State Park, New Manchester, WV every July. I think if you took the time to attend, you would not be disappointed.
